Doc Watson was born on 03 Mar 1923 in Deep Gap, North Carolina US. His birth name was Arthel Lane Watson. His is also called Doc Watson.

Doc Watson is an American guitar player, songwriter and singer of bluegrass, folk, country, blues and gospel music. He has won seven Grammy awards as well as a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
