I am a true Roy Hamilton fan. I met Roy in Cocoa Beach, Florida in the sixties at a night club called "JOHNNYS HIDE-AWAY" where I was performing as the house vocalist. Even in my high school days he was my favorite male vocalist. I, myself was a former member of the late Dr. Bill Pinkney's Original Drifters during the middle and late sixties. As part of my current show (The Joe Davis Show)I do a tribute to both Roy Hamilton and Bill Pinkney. My musical director, Harry Roberts and are current compiling some of Roys greatest hits for an album to be titled " A Tribute To Roy Hamilton".
I didn't really know until recently of the many great songs that Roy recorded before his passing.
