Chris de Burgh was born on 15 Oct 1948 in Venado Tuerto, Santa Fe Province, Argentina. His birth name was Christopher John Davison. His is also called Chris de Burgh.

Chris de Burgh is an Argentinian-born Irish singer-songwriter, perhaps most famous for his 1986 love song "The Lady in Red". He does, however, write in a wide variety of genres, and is a trained instrumentalist.Chris de Burgh was signed to A&M Records for many years (1974-2004), but he now has his own label, Ferryman Productions. His recent albums are released by German label, Edel Records.
