I've seen Vic damone in concert. I think he is the best singer of all time in his genre. Dispite Sinatra's comments about Damone's voice, less than compremently, his voice was superior to Sinatra's, although compering different singers is probably superfluous!

Vic Damone is a phenominal singer, he is the best! No one can compare to his voice. It is elegant, smooth and mellow. Every song he sings is so beautiful. As an example, have you heard his DVD "On the Steet Where You live?" It was a performance in England at the Festival Hall in '85. It is an Academy Award Performance unequaled by anyone. If he had been English, they would have knighted him. They really love him over there! If he decided to go back to giving concerts on a regular basis, you wouldn't have a performing hall large enough.

He is giving a one time concert at the Kravis Performing Arts Center in W. Palm Beach, Florida on Jan. 22 2011. He is still so popular that his fans demanded it. He is living in W. Palm Beach and is 82 and can sing as good as he did at 40. There will "standing room only".

So let's salute the "king of the baritones", long live the King!

Thank you Vic for all the years that you have sung for us! If music is the stairway to Heaven, you have your foot on the first step. I am so glad that you came along in my lifetime.

Great comments Gerald and Joyce - I agree with every word - Vic IS the best--and I was one of the fortunate to be in his sold-out concert at Kravis Center in Palm Beach January 22 - Vic was absolutely fantastic......he sang as wonderful as he always has with a 50 piece orchestra - it was magic!!! I've said it many times - just like Joyce John said - I'm so thankful Vic came along in my lifetime as I have enjoyed his beautiful voice my entire life.....what a blessing!
